Transgender Healthcare Survey
US Trans Survey Launched
On August 19, 2015 the National Center for Transgender Equality announced the launch of the 2015 US Trans Survey. An article in The Washington Blade on August 4, 2015 explains the research follows the often-cited National Transgender Discrimination Survey, which was created in 2011 to bring attention to the violence and discrimination transgender people encounter on a regular basis. The new survey will focus on an even broader range of topics and experiences including employment, housing, healthcare, HIV/AIDS, disabilities, immigration, sex work, and interactions with the criminal justice system. Transgender and non-gender conforming people are encouraged to take the survey, which can be found here. Everyone is encouraged to promote the survey to their networks.
